Pregnancy Insomnia

I think baby is getting me ready for what is to come. The last few weeks I've been waking up in the wee hours of the morning unable to fall back asleep. Last night was the worst- I was awake from midnight until 5 am. Thank goodness for Nick at Nite!

We ran errands this morning, and are still waiting for baby B to make his/her appearance.

Still waiting

I had an OB appointment today (37 weeks on Thursday!). I'm 75% effaced and 2.5 cm dilated. My OB joked "see you on Saturday", because he's the on-call doctor at the hospital that day. Let's hope so!

Last weekend we found a toddler bed on Freecycle. Tom bought a mattress the next day. I haven't had the courage to have Aria sleep in it yet, but she loves playing there:

We finally got rid of the baby bathtub:

And perhaps the last belly picture? My apologies about the mirror- I still haven't figured out how to turn the flash off of the camera:

Just Waiting

This week Tom has been in Indiana for work. He returns tonight...yay! Last weekend we purchased a webcam so that we could use Skype to talk. Aria misses her daddy, so it helps being able to see and talk to him on the computer. Last night she was blowing him kisses.

I had a doctor's appointment on Tuesday; the nurse said I wouldn't make it to my due date. She predicted I'd deliver in the next couple weeks. So for now, I wait.

Nesting

Our freezer contains four+ servings of manicotti, three of baked mac & cheese, a mini-loaf of garlic bread, and a large bag of chocolate chip PB cookies. The cloth diapers are out on the dresser, there is an empty drawer for baby's clothes, and I have made thank-you cards.

I think I'm officially nesting.

Here's a picture of the munchkin playing outside last week:

Aria's 18 month appointment

Aria had her 18 month appointment on Monday. She is 22 lbs 8 oz (25% percentile), 31 inches tall (30%), and has a head circumference of 18 3/4" (75%). She's always had a big noggin.

Normally she doesn't mind being on the exam table, but this time she absolutely hated it. I doubt she remembers getting vaccines from three months ago; it's more of a "I don't know what's going on" thing. Luckily no vaccines this time!

The next day she accompanied me to my OB appointment. She didn't like being stuck in the stroller, but my car keys pacified her enough to keep her entertained during the appt. The baby is no longer breech (yay!) and everything looks good.

Busy Week

Two trips to the hospital this week (one Wednesday night and one this morning) but no baby. I was having some back pain and quite a few contractions. I'm only 33 weeks along, so I'm glad the baby is staying put! Still having false labor pains, which is a pain (no pun intended). I have a few pictures from Christmas and will hopefully upload those soon.
